As a native Nebraskan I am drawn to primitive farm antiques and of course Husker Football. When I run across buckets, farm tools, machinery, chicken feeders and the likes; it always takes me back to my grandfather’s farm and the rural countryside of my home town of Fairmont.
I have been picking since I was a teenager, and have always had a bit of repurposing going on in my homes and apartments. Garage sales, markets and antique shops have always been great entertainment for me. My husband, Matt, and I often plan our trips around finding places off the beaten path to look for exciting finds for the store and our home in Jacksonville.
The name of my business came from my parents, Doris and Dwayne Judy. It is an unusual last name, but a fun way for me to pay tribute to them for their support in this venture and all other aspects of my life. I have lost both my parents, and by using Judy’s as my “shop name”, I feel like I get to take them along with me on this crazy little adventure.
Featured items that can be found in my space: preserved boxwood wreaths, lavender, farm and primitive antiques, painted furniture, garden antiques and framed botanical prints.
